Privacy Policy

Who we are
Learn is an invite-only study app that turns selected books into short training modules and quizzes. This policy covers https://learn.simplyai.world (the “Service”).
What we collect

We do not sell your personal data. Guests do not upload books; the library is admin-curated.
AI providers
To generate curriculum/quizzes and tutor replies, book excerpts and your tutor messages may be sent to AI providers the operator configures (for example Poe or xAI, via their API). Those providers process data under their own terms. We do not intentionally use guest data to train public models; where a provider offers zero-retention / no-training API modes, the operator should enable them.
Learning profile. You may tell us your background, skill level, preferred wording (plain / technical / analogies), and goals. We show a short “How we see you” summary you can edit. These details personalize Train and Tutor and may be included in AI requests with the configured provider. Favorites and theme stay on your account for navigation and appearance only.
Cookies
Essential session cookie only for Phase 1 (bd_session). No advertising cookies.
Where data lives / transfers
App data is stored on our hosting and database for the Service. AI calls may transfer content outside Hong Kong to the configured provider. By using the Service you understand that transfer.
Retention
- Account + progress / attempts / chat: kept while your invite account is active; deleted or anonymized when the account is removed or the beta ends, unless we must keep a record for security or legal reasons.
- Admin book PDFs and text extracts: kept while the book is in the library; removed on book delete / rights takedown (PDF file, extract file, and derived modules).
- Question reports: kept for quality review during Phase 1.
Your choices
- Change password in-app (when available).
- Ask us to delete your account and associated progress/chat: contact below.
- Use Report on any bad quiz question.
- View and edit your profile and “How we see you” in Settings.
- Clear or change favorites anytime.
Children
Phase 1 invites are for adults (16+). Do not use the Service if you are under 16.
